AI Summary

Lead and mentor a team of influencer specialists while serving as a senior strategic partner to client marketing leads. Develop and execute integrated influencer and celebrity campaigns that drive business results across awareness, conversion, and retail sell-through.

Brilliant seeks a full-time remote Senior Director, Influencer & Celebrity to help support the agency’s growing, award-winning full funnel marketing agency.

Who We Are:

We’re a fully remote performance team built on a simple promise: Work Hard. Play Hard. Laugh Hard.

We aren't for the faint of heart! We move fast, hold a ridiculously high bar for excellence, and thrive on driving real ROI for our clients. But we also believe that intense drive should come with great culture—which is why we offer unlimited PTO, Fabulous Fridays (doors close at 3pm), virtual happy hours, a monthly book club, and endless reasons to win together.

And the industry notices: We were recently named an Inc. Best Workplace 2026 and landed on the Inc. 5000 List of America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies for 2026!

What We Do:

Since 2008, Brilliant has been where bold ideas meet relentless execution. We're a performance marketing agency with deep expertise in family-focused brands, bringing together PR, Influencer, Social, Paid Media, Affiliate, Retail Support, Experiential, and AI Intelligence to create integrated, full-funnel campaigns that shatter targets and cut through the noise.

What You'll Do:

Lead the team

  • Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 influencer specialists, setting the standard for strategy, execution, and craft.
  • Manage the Influencer & Celebrity budgets and talent spend.
  • Build upon the processes, playbooks, and tech stack that allows the team scale without sacrificing quality.

Own the client relationship

  • Serve as the senior strategic partner to client marketing leads. You lead the meeting, write the email, make the recommendation, and know when to say, "I have a better idea."
  • Grow existing accounts by spotting opportunities and selling in smart, integrated expansions.
  • Partner with leadership on new business pitches, from strategy and creative concepts to talent recommendations and budget models.

Build programs that drive results

  • Develop influencer and celebrity strategies tied directly to business goals: awareness, consideration, conversion, and retail sell-through.
  • Lead paid, earned, gifted, affiliate, and ambassador programs from concept and casting through execution and reporting.
  • Integrate creator content into paid media through whitelisting, Spark Ads, and Partnership Ads, working closely with our paid team to turn top-performing content into scalable performance.
  • Drive social commerce and retail impact through TikTok Shop, the Amazon Influencer Program, Shopify Collabs, and retailer-focused creator activations.

Bring in the talent

  • Source, negotiate, and manage partnerships with celebrities and high-profile talent, working directly with agents, managers, and publicists.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of creators across tiers, platforms, niches, and content styles, from micro-creators to household names.
  • Negotiate rates, deliverables, usage rights, exclusivity, and whitelisting terms, and protect client budgets with informed benchmarks.
  • Ensure every campaign meets FTC disclosure guidelines and brand safety standards, and manage talent issues calmly when they arise.

Turn data into decisions

  • Define KPIs up front and measure what matters: engagement quality, reach, traffic, sales, ROAS, and content performance in paid.
  • Translate results into clear stories and sharper recommendations for clients and leadership.
  • Use AI and social listening tools to accelerate talent discovery, trend spotting, and reporting.

Stay ahead

  • Keep a finger on the pulse of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, emerging platforms, and whatever the internet decides is cool next week.
  • Bring energy to every brainstorm. Share ideas, challenge the obvious answer, and push the team to think bigger.

Our Dream Team Member

  • 10+ years of influencer marketing experience in consumer products, with at least 4 years managing people
  • Hands-on experience securing and managing celebrity talent partnerships, including contract and usage negotiations
  • A track record of strategizing and executing campaigns across multiple consumer categories
  • Experience owning budgets and client relationships at an agency or brand
  • Fluency in CreatorIQ, HypeAuditor, Shopify Collabs, or similar platforms
  • Working knowledge of creator whitelisting, paid amplification, and affiliate and social commerce models
  • Measures success through analytics, not vanity metrics
  • Has a point of view and presents it with confidence
  • Proactive and forward-thinking about client and campaign needs
  • Can manage up, manage down, and keep a million moving pieces running smoothly
  • Resourceful, committed, deliberate, and genuinely enjoys crossing things off the list
  • A slight obsession with Amazon, online shopping, and discovering new products
  • Loves a good brainstorm and always arrives with fresh, unexpected ideas

Bonus Points

  • Experience with parenting, baby, kids, toy, or family lifestyle brands
  • Existing relationships with talent agencies and management firms
  • Experience integrating influencer programs with PR, experiential, or retail activations
