Position Overview

Join Autodesk’s Developer Advocacy & Support team to evangelize, enable, and support developers building solutions on Autodesk Platform Services (APS) and related Autodesk APIs. You will combine hands-on engineering, learning content creation, and technical support to accelerate partner and customer success.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality sample applications, SDKs, and reference code demonstrating best practices

• Produce developer-facing content: tutorials, how-to guides, blog posts, and short demos for community and events

• Provide technical support and triage for partners and customers integrating APS APIs; reproduce issues, and coordinate fixes with engineering

• Work with product and engineering teams to influence API design, improve developer experience, and maintain runbooks and onboarding flows

• Deliver reference implementations and example code for Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers/clients so agents and tools can safely access Autodesk data

• Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate developer deliverables (e.g., prototypes, sample generation, documentation drafts), while ensuring quality and security of outputs

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years software engineering or developer-facing experience (web/cloud/native)

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SDKs, and modern web/cloud stacks; ability to produce clean, tested sample code

• Strong understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth2 flows, service accounts) and secure integration practices

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort presenting to technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior developer advocacy, developer support, or partner-facing engineering experience

• Experience with APS/Forge, or familiarity with Autodesk product APIs (Revit, ACC/BIM Automation, Fusion)

• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Python or .NET; Docker and cloud deployment patterns

• Familiarity with MCP, MCP server/client patterns, or agentic AI integration concepts is a plus

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $123,000 and $180,400. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
