Our team also builds and manages Atlassian's analytical and operational data store enabling teams to make informed decisions and run their operations on trusted data and services. We're looking for a Senior Data Engineering Manager to join our growing Finance Data Engineering team within the Data Engineering department. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Hire, coach, mentor, and provide career development for a team of data engineers.

• Technical Guidance: Provide deep technical expertise in data engineering within a scalable ecosystem.

• Engineering Excellence: Drive cultural and process improvements to elevate quality and efficiency.

• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (Business Teams, Data Science, and Analytics Platform) to foster a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

More about you...

• Experience:

  • 6–8+ years in a software development role (Individual Contributor).

  • 4+ years of people management experience leading agile teams.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.

  • Experience with cloud stacks: AWS, S3, Databricks, Spark/Spark Streaming, graph databases, dbt.

  • Knowledge of enterprise data architectural standards, dimensional modeling, test automation, and continuous delivery.

• Education: Graduate degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

• Building RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Experience with Tableau.

• Knowledge of Machine Learning.

• Contributions to open-source projects.
