Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. In this role, you will partner with clients and technical teams to understand requirements, build scalable Data & AI solutions, and deliver high-quality engineering work from development through production deployment. You'll combine strong hands-on technical expertise with consulting skills to solve complex data challenges, contribute to technical design decisions, and collaborate effectively with client stakeholders. You won't simply write code—you'll help build production-ready solutions, contribute to successful client delivery, and embrace AI-first engineering practices that improve speed, quality, and client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in discovery sessions to understand business goals, technical requirements, and solution constraints, while translating client needs into scalable, production-ready Data & AI solutions.
• Serve as a senior technical contributor throughout client engagements.
• Contribute to recommendations on architecture, tooling, implementation approaches, and technical trade-offs, while developing technical documentation, implementation plans, data models, and engineering standards.
• Build and deliver enterprise Data & AI solutions from development through production deployment, owning complex engineering workstreams while proactively identifying technical risks, troubleshooting issues, and removing implementation blockers.
• Leverage AI throughout the software delivery lifecycle to improve engineering productivity, code quality, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and client outcomes while applying practical AI capabilities within day-to-day engineering.
• Mentor engineers through technical coaching, code reviews, development best practices, and contribute to hiring, onboarding, and technical enablement.

About You

You are a hands-on data engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building scalable, production-ready solutions. You are comfortable operating in distributed, global teams and partnering with colleagues across time zones. You combine strong communication and consulting skills with deep hands-on expertise in modern Data & AI platforms and engineering practices. You are equally comfortable writing production-quality code, contributing to technical design discussions, collaborating directly with clients, and helping engineering teams navigate complex implementation decisions while delivering measurable business value.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical consulting roles.
• Proven experience building and delivering enterprise Data & AI solutions into production within cloud environments.
• Demonstrated experience delivering with AI, leveraging modern AI technologies throughout the software delivery lifecycle to improve engineering productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and client outcomes.
• Strong consulting experience contributing to technical discovery, solution design, engineering delivery, and client-facing engagements.

Technical / Functional Skills

• Hands-on experience with many of the following cloud and data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on experience with data engineering technologies: Python, SQL, Java and/or Scala, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, or similar technologies.
• Experience with modern engineering practices including: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and monitoring.
• Experience incorporating AI into day-to-day engineering and solution delivery using technologies such as: Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Snowflake Cortex AI, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar enterprise AI development platforms and frameworks.
