About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Ad Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Manager (Bi Yoo). This role is responsible for building and maintaining the data pipelines that power our advertising analytics platform, attribution

dashboard, and Cool AI product. The Senior Data Engineer will work across our data infrastructure - including Snowflake, AWS

(S3, Lambda, SQS), and PostgreSQL - to ensure reliable ingestion, transformation, and delivery of advertising data from

multiple demand-side platforms (Adform, Xandr, Google Ads, Meta) into our reporting and analytics systems.

Challenges and Opportunities

This role sits at the intersection of ad tech and data engineering. You'll work with high-volume programmatic advertising data (impression logs, click streams, conversion events) and build pipelines that directly impact how advertisers measure campaign performance. There is a significant opportunity to shape the data architecture as we expand into new DSP integrations, enhance our attribution methodology, and scale Cool AI's data layer across international markets.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest advertising data feeds (Adform master data feeds, Google Ads API, Meta

  • Marketing API) into Snowflake

  • Develop and optimize Snowflake stored procedures for data rollups, attribution calculations, and analytics aggregations

  • Manage AWS Lambda functions (Node.js, Java) for real-time and batch data processing including pixel event ingestion and

  • Snowflake notifications

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline health, ensuring data accuracy and freshness across the platform

  • Design and maintain data models in Snowflake to support dashboard reporting, attribution analysis, and Cool AI features

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate new data sources and DSP connections

  • Build and manage S3-based data lake architecture for raw feed storage and processing

  • Support SQS-based async workflows for report generation and data processing queues

  • Implement data quality checks and alerting for pipeline failures or data anomalies

  • Document data flows, schemas, and pipeline architecture

Qualifications

Professional Competencies

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role

  • Proven track record of designing and owning end-to-end data pipelines in production

  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and drive technical decisions on data architecture

  • Must be able to work primarily between the hours of 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM ET
