Are you passionate about designing scalable data models that drive smarter lending and credit decisions? Trissential is hiring a Senior Data Analyst / Data Modeler to join our client's team and help shape the future of enterprise data within a large and complex financial services environment.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a multi-year transformation initiative focused on modernizing data architecture, governance, analytics, and reporting capabilities. Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models supporting credit and lending domains including customers, accounts, loans, balances, collateral, and payment structures
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data architectures using dimensional modeling, normalized models, data vault methodologies, and domain-driven design principles
  • Partner with data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and SMEs to ensure consistency of business definitions and governance standards
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, mapping documents, lineage artifacts, and metadata documentation
  • Optimize data models to support analytics, reporting, regulatory requirements, dashboards, and downstream applications
  • Support the onboarding and integration of new lending products including mortgages, credit cards, secured lending, and revolving credit products
  • Validate model scalability, usability, and performance within Snowflake environments
  • Contribute to bronze, silver, and gold medallion architecture layers to ensure full traceability from source systems to curated business-ready datasets
  • Assist with data quality initiatives, business rule validation, and cross-system reconciliation activities

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 8+ years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, data architecture, or related disciplines
  • Strong enterprise data modeling experience within financial services, banking, lending, or other regulated industries
  • Deep understanding of credit and lending concepts including loan lifecycle management, balances, payment structures, interest calculations, and customer-account relationships
  • Expertise in dimensional modeling, third normal form (3NF), and/or Data Vault methodologies
  • Strong experience translating business requirements into scalable, governed data structures
  • Experience working within enterprise data governance frameworks and metadata management practices
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, AWS, or other cloud-based data platforms
  • Ability to interpret, reconcile, and standardize complex financial data definitions across multiple source systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Hands-on experience with ERwin Data Modeler
  • Advanced ERwin data modeling expertise
  • Experience working within lakehouse or medallion architecture environments
  • Exposure to data governance and metadata platforms such as Collibra
  • Experience supporting highly regulated financial institutions
  • Knowledge of broader financial products and financial services ecosystems
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting and compliance data initiatives
  • Ability to translate complex business rules into governed, reusable enterprise data assets

Education & Certifications You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Certifications in Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Modeling, Snowflake, AWS, Analytics, or related disciplines are considered an asset

  • Competitive Compensation – You choose the model that works best for you, both with company-sponsored benefits! $155,000-$165,000 annually or $92-$102 per hour. Final compensation is determined based on skill alignment, years of experience, and fair, market-based rates by geography.
