Job Role

We currently have an exciting 12 month FTC opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Finance & Business Intelligence team, playing a key role in delivering high-quality analytics, business intelligence solutions and actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the Group. 

In this highly visible role, you will combine advanced technical expertise with strong business partnering skills, using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, DAX and Python to transform complex data into meaningful insights. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, helping to drive a trusted, data-led culture while supporting the continued evolution of our reporting and analytics capability. 

In return for your dedication, knowledge and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary of £48,000 to £52,000 pa with these great benefits:

Key Responsibilities

•    Design, develop and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports and KPI scorecards that support operational and strategic decision-making. 
•    Deliver trusted, timely and actionable insights for stakeholders across the business. 
•    Develop and maintain scalable data models using best-practice dimensional modelling techniques. 
•    Create and optimise DAX measures, KPIs and analytical calculations. 
•    Write and optimise SQL queries to support reporting, analytics and data validation activities. 
•    Work with Data Engineers to support and develop reporting solutions within Microsoft Fabric and other data platforms. 
•    Use Python and other analytical tools to automate processes, enhance reporting and deliver deeper analytical insights. 
•    Apply advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance improvement initiatives. 
•    Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate requirements into data-driven solutions. 
•    Champion best practice in reporting, data quality and analytics while supporting continuous improvement across the organisation. 

Skills and Experience

•    Significant experience in a Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, BI Analyst or similar analytics role. 
•    Advanced Power BI development experience. 
•    Strong expertise in DAX development and optimisation. 
•    Strong understanding of dimensional modelling, star schemas and data warehousing concepts. 
•    Advanced SQL skills with experience querying large and complex datasets. 
•    Experience using Python for analysis, automation and data manipulation. 
•    Experience developing and maintaining enterprise-scale reporting solutions. 
•    Strong analytical, statistical and problem-solving skills. 
•    Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills. 
•    Experience delivering measurable business value through data and analytics.
