Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation solutions to improve developer productivity and system reliability.
- Build and maintain shared platform services, libraries, and infrastructure components.
- Develop integration patterns and tooling for internal systems and third-party services.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical consultation to product engineering teams.
- Implement and maintain contract testing frameworks to reduce integration errors.
- Work with authentication and identity systems such as SSO, SAML, and OAuth.
- Contribute to event-driven architectures using message buses and asynchronous patterns.
- Create technical documentation, architectural decision records, and integration guides.
- Participate in code reviews and help establish engineering standards and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- 2+ years in a senior or platform-focused role.
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages, preferably Ruby or Python; Node.js and Go are also accepted.
- Good experience with AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, and SQS/SNS.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with message queues and event-driven patterns such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with contract testing tools, healthcare technology, HIPAA/HiTrust, identity federation, WebSockets, developer tools, SDKs, shared libraries, SQL, or GraphQL.
