Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python and PostgreSQL. The role requires familiarity with Redis, AWS, Datadog, and messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka. You will collaborate closely with technical and non-technical teams, external vendors, and stakeholders, so strong communication skills and the ability to clarify requirements are essential.

This role also requires experience working on financial systems or projects involving transactions, revenue, payments, financial reporting, and process automation, where data accuracy, reliability, and traceability are critical.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, including at least 1–2 years of recent hands-on experience with Python.

• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.

• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and relational database concepts.

• Experience working on financial projects or systems, including areas such as:

  • Financial transactions, Revenue processing, Payments, Financial reporting, Financial process automation

• Experience working with AI agents or AI-powered backend workflows.

• Experience building, maintaining, and improving API performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Experience with caching systems such as Redis.

• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar as part of the daily development workflow.

• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based environments.

• Experience with Datadog or other monitoring and observability tools.

• Knowledge of RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar messaging systems; hands-on experience is highly valued.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.

• Advanced English proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
