Freelance HTML/EDM Developer

We’re looking for a Freelance HTML / EDM Developer to join Hire Digital’s internal team and support email marketing and digital projects for our clients.

You’ll work closely with our internal account, project, creative, and marketing teams to translate client requirements and designs into responsive, production-ready HTML assets. This role involves supporting different client projects on a freelance basis, so we’re looking for someone adaptable, responsive, and comfortable working across multiple brands and requirements.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build responsive HTML email / EDM templates for client campaigns.

• Convert supplied designs into clean, production-ready HTML and CSS.
• Troubleshoot layout, responsiveness, and compatibility issues across devices and email clients.
• Support basic JavaScript requirements where needed.
• Make revisions based on internal and client feedback.
• Collaborate with Hire Digital’s project, creative, and marketing teams.
• Support multiple client projects and deliver work within agreed timelines.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience building EDMs, newsletters, or HTML email templates.
• Good understanding of responsive design and email-client compatibility.
• Strong attention to detail when translating designs into code.
• Comfortable working within a remote team and responding to project feedback.
• Able to manage multiple assignments independently and meet deadlines.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience supporting agency, consulting, or multiple-client environments.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Braze, Klaviyo, Marketo, or similar tools.
