Position Title: Senior Backend Engineer

Location: LATAM

What you will be doing:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer with deep expertise in Python, Artificial Intelligence, and SQL to build scalable backend systems that power next-generation supply chain solutions.

In this role, you will design and develop intelligent backend services that leverage AI and machine learning to optimize inventory, demand forecasting, procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations. You'll collaborate with Product Managers, Data Engineers, AI Engineers, and Supply Chain stakeholders to deliver high-performance, data-driven applications.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems through scalable software architecture and modern AI technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.

• Proven experience managing and contributing to multiple GitHub repositories in a

• collaborative environment.

• Demonstrated expertise with the complete software development lifecycle for diverse

• production-scale systems.

• Strong proficiency in the Python programming language

• Experience building and operating distributed systems and microservices architectures.

• Deep understanding of relational databases, including SQL performance tuning and

• concurrency management (e.g., SQL Server).

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Prefect, Airflow) and containerized

• environments.

• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Nice to Have Skills

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (OpenShift or similar) in a production setting.

• Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines for large-scale processing, and

supporting the analytics engineering team.

• Familiarity with optimization systems, simulation platforms, or operations research

concepts (e.g., routing, scheduling, or resource allocation).

• Experience with Supply Chain modeling platforms like Supply Chain Guru,

Llama.ai, NextMV, Gains, Sophus, Starboard, Optilogic, or TMOD.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Experience with Go/Golang

• Experience with ML Algorithms, Optimization Algorithms, and Building AI Native
