The role

hedgehog lab is a digital product consultancy with 20 years of experience working with global brands. We're looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join our QA team.

You'll test web and mobile applications across a diverse range of clients, industries and products. You'll own automation tasks, write clear and effective test cases, and actively contribute to raising quality standards across the team.

Where you need to be based

Fully flexible. Work from home, the office, or a mix of both, your call. We just ask that you're based within 50km of Sofia. Applications from outside this area won't be considered, and visa sponsorship isn't available.

Experience required

The essentials:

• You've got 4-5+ years in manual and automated testing

• You've got deep expertise in at least one language (TypeScript, Java, C# or Python)

• You can create, maintain and extend automated tests and frameworks

• You understand SDLC QA processes inside out: planning, test cases, bug tracking, reporting

• You've worked hands-on with a test case management system such as TestRail

• You know your test methodologies and techniques

• You're comfortable working in English, written and spoken

You'll also need solid problem-solving and a sharp eye for detail, plus:

• A working understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles and design patterns

• Good knowledge of CI/CD systems

• Experience with test reporting tools and services

Nice to have

• You've used Playwright with TypeScript professionally

• You're familiar with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure

• You've made GenAI tools part of your day-to-day QA workflow
