Overview

The Senior Analyst/Trainer is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and training end users on clinical and operational workflows within PAM Health’s electronic health record and related systems, with a primary focus on WellSky and other assigned applications. This role serves as a bridge between clinical operations, information systems, and end users by understanding workflow needs, translating them into effective system use, and delivering clear, practical training to staff across the organization. The Senior Analyst/Trainer will provide specialized training and support for providers, nurses, and other clinical and non-clinical staff to promote consistent adoption, efficient documentation, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care.

 

THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION THAT WILL REQUIRE TRAVEL AS NECESSARY FOR THE ROLE

Responsibilities

I. Position Responsibilities

· Develops a strong understanding of clinical and operational workflows and how those workflows are supported within the electronic health record and related systems.

· Provides end-user training, coaching, and support for WellSky and other assigned applications, with focused training for providers, nurses, and other clinical staff.

· Creates, maintains, and updates training materials, quick-reference guides, workflow documentation, tip sheets, and other learning resources.

· Designs role-based curriculum, lesson plans, competency-based learning paths, and training programs that align with operational workflows, system functionality, and the needs of providers, nurses, and other end users.

· Leverages asynchronous learning tools and platforms, such as Amplify, to create scalable, easy-to-access training resources that simplify the end-user learning experience and support consistent adoption across locations.

· Conducts classroom, virtual, one-on-one, elbow-to-elbow, and go-live support training for new hires, existing staff, system upgrades, workflow changes, and process improvement initiatives.

· Partners with clinical leaders, operational stakeholders, application analysts, and IT teams to identify training needs, workflow gaps, adoption barriers, and opportunities for improvement.

· Performs business analysis activities by eliciting requirements, documenting current and future-state workflows, identifying gaps, defining business needs, and translating stakeholder input into clear functional requirements and actionable recommendations.

· Assists with testing, validation, and communication of system updates, enhancements, and workflow changes to ensure users are prepared and supported.

· Project manages assigned initiatives by coordinating tasks, timelines, stakeholders, communications, and deliverables while partnering with vendor resources and holding them accountable to agreed-upon expectations, milestones, and outcomes.

· Supports issue triage by gathering details from end users, analyzing workflow impact, documenting findings, and escalating issues appropriately.

· Monitors user adoption and training effectiveness, using feedback and performance trends to refine training content and delivery methods.

· Promotes consistent system use, accurate documentation, patient safety, compliance with policies and procedures, and alignment with PAM Health standards.

· Maintains current knowledge of assigned applications, healthcare technology trends, regulatory considerations, and clinical workflow best practices.

Qualifications

Education and Training:

Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in healthcare, information technology, education, clinical informatics, nursing, business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience: Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in healthcare operations, clinical systems training, EHR support, clinical informatics, application analysis, or a related role preferred. Experience with WellSky strongly preferred. Experience training providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary clinical teams is highly desired.

· Prior experience supporting or training users in an electronic health record or healthcare technology environment.

· Experience developing training materials, documenting workflows, and delivering training to diverse audiences with varying technical skill levels.

· Experience working with providers, nurses, and clinical leaders to support effective system adoption and workflow standardization.

· Experience performing business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, workflow analysis, process documentation, gap analysis, and translating business needs into system or training recommendations.

· Experience designing curriculum, learning plans, job aids, and training content for healthcare, clinical, operational, or technology-focused audiences.

· Familiarity with asynchronous learning tools and platforms, such as Amplify, and experience using them to simplify access to training content and improve the end-user learning experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Strong knowledge of healthcare workflows, clinical documentation practices, and electronic health record functionality.

· Ability to translate complex system functionality and workflow requirements into clear, practical training for end users.

· Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to train individuals and groups effectively.

· Ability to design effective curriculum and training content that supports adult learning, role-based education, workflow adoption, and measurable competency development.

· Ability to use asynchronous learning tools and platforms, including Amplify or similar solutions, to deliver intuitive, role-based training content that reduces friction for end users.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess workflow issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.

· Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to facilitate discovery sessions, gather requirements, map workflows, document processes, identify gaps, and communicate recommendations clearly.

· Ability to work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and technical teams while maintaining a customer-focused approach.

· Ability to manage assigned projects or initiatives, coordinate cross-functional resources, track progress, communicate status, and hold internal and vendor partners accountable for commitments and deliverables.

· Organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and training needs across locations or departments.

· Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and continuous improvement.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working generally indoors in well-lighted, well-ventilated areas. Working conditions as in hospital surroundings.

TRAVEL AND WORK LOCATION:

 

This position is considered remote. A quiet at home office space will be necessary. Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time and live no further than 1.5 hours from a national airport.
