Our finance team is currently undergoing an exciting transformation: we are implementing modern consolidation platforms, transitioning our group reporting framework to US GAAP, and strengthening our internal control architecture. As a Senior Statutory Accountant for Statutory Reporting reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager in our Controllership team, you will play a pivotal role in building our statutory reporting function from scratch, shaping our US GAAP transition strategy, and leading global statutory accounting operations.

What You Will Own

• Polish Statutory Reporting: Spearhead end-to-end financial statement preparation (sprawozdanie finansowe) for four Polish legal entities under Ustawa o rachunkowości, managing e-sprawozdanie filings and KRS submissions.
• Statutory Ledger Integrity: Maintain precise secondary books year-round, booking statutory adjustments proactively to ensure continuous alignment.
• GAAP Conversion Architecture: Establish and own a robust quarterly Polish GAAP to US GAAP bridge register, analyzing technical differences across revenue, leases, provisions, capitalisation, and FX.
• Global Statutory Audit Leadership: Direct statutory audits across all jurisdictions as the primary lead - driving planning, fieldwork, technical accounting resolution, and auditor relationships.
• Month-End & Intercompany Oversight: Entity-level reporting through the close cycle, and review of intercompany transactions for their statutory and tax consequences in the Polish entities.
• Regulatory Compliance: Oversee all GUS statistical reporting and NBP regulatory filings.
• International Operations: Partner with external providers to drive statutory compliance across UK, French, and other global subsidiaries.

Requirements

Essentially, to ensure you succeed in this role you're going to need:

• 6+ hands-on experience preparing end-to-end statutory financial statements (sprawozdanie finansowe) and managing recurring regulatory filings under Ustawa o rachunkowości.
• Recognized professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or a Polish equivalent).
• Solid practical experience identifying technical accounting differences and executing PL GAAP to US GAAP adjustments.
• Proven track record of independently reviewing, reconciling, and tying out high-volume, multi-currency intercompany transactions each month.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Polish and English, essential for daily communication across international markets and external partners.

It will also help you to have...

• Direct exposure to local GAAP in UK/Spain/France  or a proven track record of researching and applying unfamiliar foreign accounting frameworks independently.
• Experience working within high-growth international tech/SaaS environments or Big 4 / mid-tier accounting and advisory firms.
• Practical experience with GUS, NBP, and Polish e-reporting obligations (JPK, KSeF).
• Direct experience coordinating statutory audit and compliance deliverables with international accounting networks (e.g., BDO).
