Our Professional Services team helps to accelerate and protect the websites and digital  experiences of some of the world's major banks and financial institutions by bringing them  onto the Akamai platform. As the customer-facing Financial Services team, we provide thought  leadership, consulting, and technical support through designing high quality web solutions and  customer advocacy.

Partner with the best

From pre-sales through to integration and performance, you'll be an end-to-end trusted advisor to customers. You'll act as a gateway to our products and platforms. You’ll be delivering technical solutions and creatively tackling challenges that have a considerable impact on high-profile customers.

As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating closely with an integrated account team to evaluate customer web architecture, delivering the best integration solution
• Ensuring customer success by focusing on best practices, helping develop a long-term web performance and security strategy
• Advocating product and posture best practices and espousing thought leadership
• Collaborating cross-functionally to qualify requirements, manage scope, timeline, and risks deliver high-quality service and ensure customer engagement
• Partnering with Business Support, Sales, Engineering, Product Development, and Technical Support to resolve issues and configure ongoing changes
• Identifying potential new product/service capabilities that could benefit customers
• Participating in internal projects to contribute to best practices and to ensure continuous improvement of customer service delivery

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have at least 3 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or its equivalent.
• Experience in a customer facing role within the technology industry
• Be well versed in internet technologies like IP networks, DNS and routing, HTTP, TCP or web architecture
• Demonstrate expertise in Web Application security, Network security, API Security, SIEM, AI Security
• Demonstrate knowledge of common OWASP top 10 and how they relate to internet service compromise or attacks
• Exposed to Cloud infrastructure Technologies (Linode, AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Practical knowledge of Generative AI platforms, including Gemini and Co Pilot
• Be able to analyze customer's web traffic and demonstrate expertise to optimize the security posture
• Exposed to scripting languages such as Python/PERL/JavaScript and the overall DevOps framework & web development languages
