The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) is charged with implementing the state's public school laws for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade public schools at the direction of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction and State Board of Education.
Description of Work
The Section Chief for the Office of Federal Programs provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and programmatic guidance to ensure the effective implementation, compliance, and continuous improvement of federally funded education programs. The Section Chief collaborates with internal divisions, public school units (PSUs), community partners, and federal stakeholders to ensure efficient administration, monitoring, and technical assistance across assigned program areas. The Section Chief will work collaboratively with other office Section Chiefs within the Office of Federal Programs and complete other duties as assigned by Director or Assistant Director.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Recruitment Range: $70,627.00 - $111,000.00

Minimum Education and Experience

Doctoral degree in education or in the special education field to which assigned from an appropriately accredited institution, and two years of progressively responsible experience in public education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience OR A Master's degree in education or in the special education field to which assigned from an appropriately accredited institution, and four years progressively responsible experience in public education.
