The Scoring Technologist analyzes polysomnography data to identify sleep stages and clinical events while generating comprehensive reports for physician diagnosis. They also provide technical feedback to clinical staff and ensure compliance with AASM guidelines and HIPAA privacy standards.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Sleep Services Clinical Manager and Medical Director a Scoring Technologist analyzes data from polysomnography (PSG) tests to identify sleep stages (REM/NREM) and clinical events like apneas, hypopneas, and limb movements using specialized software. The Scorer will analyze therapeutic decision making, troubleshooting, and outcomes to recommend long term therapeutic goals. Scorers will provide feedback and support for skill development of clinical staff. Scorers, adhere to American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines to create comprehensive reports for physician diagnosis frequently working remotely or in labs.
