Summary:
The Scheduling Capacity Analyst is responsible for strategic template design and optimization using industry-standard best practices for building, maintaining, modifying, and oversight of scheduling templates, visit types, visit type modifiers, template slot blocks, decision trees, and reporting tools. Engages with department leadership across the enterprise to accelerate scheduling workflow, access, and capacity-related improvements in the ambulatory setting. Responsible for meeting the scheduling and capacity goals and targets set by executive leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Owns and optimizes Epic visit types, templates, subgroups, and guided scheduling decision trees across all outpatient service lines, ensuring timely and accurate build updates.

• Provides daily EMR scheduling configuration support, troubleshooting issues, educating end users, and leading individual or group training with clear reference materials.

• Analyzes provider schedules, utilization, and access metrics to identify variances, generate actionable insights, and drive improvements in appointment lag, slot use, and operational efficiency.

• Leads scheduling-related projects—including new provider onboarding/offboarding, template redesigns, and system‑guided scheduling initiatives—through planning, build, testing, and post‑go‑live monitoring.

• Collaborates with IS, Epic technical teams, and operational leaders to translate business needs into system requirements, implement enhancements, and streamline scheduling workflows to meet organizational access goals.

WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 3 years Outpatient Epic Scheduling experience Required 
* At least 3 years related experience Required

EDUCATION
* High school diploma or equivalent Required 
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Preferred

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* EPIC Cadence Certification (preferred upon hire) 1 Year Required
