SAP TM Yard Management Functional Analyst

Position Summary

CDIT Solutions is seeking an SAP TM Yard Management Functional Analyst to support the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). This role owns the design, configuration, and optimization of Yard Management solutions within SAP Transportation Management (TM), with a focus on yard operations execution, settlement, and cost visibility — ensuring seamless integration with Financial Accounting (FI), Materials Management (MM), and Sales and Distribution (SD).

Key Responsibilities

•       Lead the design, configuration, and support of Yard Management processes within SAP Transportation Management.

•       Configure yard operations, including yard planning, equipment management, and yard execution.

•       Oversee yard settlement and charge calculation processes.

•       Support yard cost visibility and analytics for program and customer stakeholders.

•       Manage enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives related to Yard Management functionality.

•       Ensure proper integration between Yard Management and other SAP modules, including TM, FI, MM, and SD.

•       Configure yard settlement documents and invoice verification processes.

•       Support automatic posting of yard costs within SAP and relevant interfaces.

•       Ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition for yard-related transactions.

•       Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams on yard invoice reconciliation.

•       Work closely with S/4HANA, TM, Financial Accounting, MM, SD, and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) teams, as well as interfaces to the financial system of record.

•       Develop functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scripts, and training materials.

•       Participate in unit, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing; support defect analysis and resolution.

•       Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

•       Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

•       5+ years of SAP Transportation Management (TM) functional experience, including Yard Management-related configuration.

•       Experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA.

•       Strong understanding of:

Yard Planning and Equipment Management

Yard Execution

Freight Settlement and Charge Calculation

Invoice Verification

•       Experience writing functional specifications for custom developments.

•       Experience supporting testing and defect resolution.

•       Strong analytical, communication, and customer engagement skills.

•       Active DoD Secret clearance required.

•       Ability to travel to Scott Air Force Base, IL (approximately 10% travel, every 12 weeks).

Preferred Qualifications

•       Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal ERP programs.

•       Experience with SAP Activate methodology.

•       Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development.

•       Experience integrating Yard Management/TM functionality with:

Materials Management (MM)

Financial Accounting (FI)

Sales and Distribution (SD)

Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)

•       Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications.

•       Experience with Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM.

•       Previous experience supporting USTRANSCOM or other large-scale government SAP programs.

Desired Certifications

•       SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Transportation Management

•       Agile Scrum Certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent)

•       Security+ (preferred for DoD environments)
