Lead and deliver end-to-end SAP MDG implementations within S/4HANA environments across various master data domains. Design and configure governance processes, workflows, and ABAP-based enhancements while acting as a trusted advisor to clients.

On behalf of our Client - a growing, UK-based global consulting company, we are looking for an experienced SAP MDG & ABAP Senior Consultant.
This is a key role within a rapidly expanding SAP unit, offering the opportunity to work on international SAP projects, design and develop master data governance solutions, and contribute to the growth of the SAP practice in Poland.
Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver end-to-end SAP MDG implementations in S/4HANA environments.
Work across MDG domains such as Business Partner, Material, Supplier and Finance.
Translate business and data governance requirements into scalable SAP MDG solutions.
Design and configure MDG data models, governance processes and workflows.
Configure change requests, validation and derivation rules, and UI adaptations.
Develop and maintain ABAP-based enhancements and custom solutions supporting SAP MDG processes.
Work with ABAP, BAdIs, enhancements, user exits and custom developments where required.
Analyse and troubleshoot existing ABAP developments and MDG processes.
Support integrations between SAP MDG, S/4HANA and other SAP/non-SAP systems, including ECC, Ariba, BW and CRM.
Define and implement data governance frameworks, including data quality KPIs, ownership models and approval processes.
Lead functional and technical testing, UAT and go-live activities.
Support data migration and data quality initiatives.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, providing guidance on MDG and SAP data governance.
Contribute to pre-sales activities, proposals and client presentations.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal best practices and solution standards.
Requirements
8–10+ years of experience in SAP, including strong experience with SAP MDG and ABAP.
Proven experience delivering end-to-end SAP MDG implementations, preferably in S/4HANA environments.
Strong understanding of master data governance processes and frameworks.
Hands-on experience with ABAP development and SAP technical enhancements.
Good knowledge of MDG technical components, including data models, workflows, BRF+, UI adaptations and change requests.
Experience with ABAP, OO ABAP, BAdIs, enhancements and debugging.
Experience integrating SAP MDG with S/4HANA and other SAP/non-SAP systems.
Strong stakeholder management and experience working directly with clients.
Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical SAP solutions.
University degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Engineering or a related field.
Fluent English.
Nice to Have:
SAP MDG Certification.
Experience with SAP Information Steward.
Experience with SAP Data Services.
Knowledge of SAP PI/PO or other integration technologies.
Experience with data migration and broader MDM solutions.
Experience with SAP BTP or modern SAP integration technologies.
Previous experience in consulting, pre-sales or solution design.
