The candidate will lead SAP ABAP development for S/4HANA Brownfield conversion projects, including custom code remediation and system assessment. They will collaborate with functional teams to deliver technical solutions and support the full project lifecycle from unit testing to post-go-live support.
This is a remote position.
7–10 years of strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, with significant experience in S/4HANA Brownfield implementation/conversion projects.
Strong understanding of ECC to S/4HANA conversion, system assessment, custom code remediation, and adaptation of existing developments.
Hands-on experience in RICEFW objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.
Strong expertise in ABAP OO, ALV, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, Customer Exits, Enhancement Framework, RFC and Function Modules.
Experience working with IDocs, ALE, Proxy, OData, SOAP/REST APIs and web services for integration scenarios.
Good knowledge of ABAP on HANA, including CDS Views, AMDP, SQL optimization, and code pushdown techniques.
Experience with ATC, Custom Code Migration, Simplification Database, SPAU/SPDD and remediation of custom objects during S/4HANA conversion.
Strong experience in analyzing existing ECC custom programs and determining whether to retain, remediate, redesign, or retire them in S/4HANA.
Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData services is an added advantage.
Experience in performance optimization using ST05, SAT, SQL Monitor, ATC and runtime analysis.
Strong debugging skills and experience troubleshooting complex production and integration issues.
Experience working with functional teams to understand business requirements, perform impact analysis, and deliver technical solutions.
Good understanding of S/4HANA data models and compatibility changes compared with ECC.
Experience in unit testing, SIT, UAT support, defect resolution, cutover, deployment and post-go-live support.
Should have experience working in Agile/onsite-offshore delivery models and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
