AI Summary

The Pricing Optimization Manager will own the pricing strategy across the entire catalog to improve contribution margins and capture value. They are responsible for analyzing sales data, competitor activity, and market trends to make informed pricing decisions while collaborating with brand managers.

About Us

We are an 8-figure Amazon brand selling shipping and packaging supplies to small businesses, including poly, zip and cello bags, labels and mailers. Our catalog is large, with a wide range of sizes and pack counts, and our team works in-house and remotely.

The Role

Our brand managers lead listings and advertising. We are hiring a Pricing Optimization Manager to own pricing strategy across the full catalog, identify opportunities to improve the value we capture through price, and grow contribution margin over the long term.

Much of our catalog sells in niches with search volume too low for Brand Analytics, so Search Query Performance (SQP) data is often unavailable or too thin to use. This role requires someone who can draw sound conclusions from sales, sessions, conversion, BSR and competitor activity, and who can reliably separate real results from noise.

Responsibilities

  • Own pricing strategy across the catalog, identifying where price can capture more value and where it is limiting volume
  • Weigh the trade-off between volume and profit for each pricing decision, and estimate the impact on units before a change is made
  • Improve contribution margin steadily over time, prioritizing long-term performance over short-term profit
  • Evaluate the outcome of every price change and determine whether results were driven by price or by other factors such as stock levels, competitor activity, advertising or seasonality
  • Collaborate with brand managers when pricing decisions affect their listings, advertising or product launches
  • Provide a weekly report covering changes made, results observed and next steps

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience owning Amazon pricing decisions, brand-side or reseller/Buy Box
  • A track record of pricing changes with measurable results
  • Exceptional ability to interpret noisy data, particularly for low-volume products with little or no Brand Analytics or SQP data
  • Strong understanding of how volume and profit interact, and how price affects rank, sessions and conversion
  • In-depth knowledge of Amazon fees, the Buy Box, coupons, deals and variations
  • Proficiency with Keepa, Seller Central, repricing tools and Excel / Google Sheets
  • Fluent spoken and written English, with the ability to present your reasoning clearly in live discussions
  • A proactive approach: you bring recommendations, not just questions

Preferred

  • Experience pricing a large, variation-heavy catalog
  • B2B or Amazon Business pricing experience
  • A background in statistics or experiment design

Compensation and Benefits

  • $3,000-$6,000 USD per month, depending on experience
  • Full-time, fully remote (Latin America, with at least 4 hours a day overlapping US business hours)
  • Full ownership of pricing strategy from day one
  • Performance measured on long-term margin growth rather than short-term results
  • A long-term role with opportunity for growth
