About the role

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager (Europe & South America) to lead and grow our Laboratory / Scientific Solutions business across international markets, with a strong focus on Europe.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening key customer relationships at senior level. You will play a key role in shaping the commercial strategy, contributing to the global business development of the product lines, and promoting our leading brand Toplab® through European associations and top influencer organizations.

This is a Europe-based role, with flexibility to work from anywhere in Europe. Ideally, you are located in one of our key markets: Germany, UK or the Benelux region.

You will lead a team of six Account Managers and work closely together with three Inside Sales Representatives and report directly to the CEO. You will be part of a global team of country sales leaders to exchange learning and co-create future initiatives that can be rolled out across countries.

What you’ll do

  • Accountable for the P&L of the region Europe & South America for the Laboratory / Scientific Solutions business.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing international commercial team to grow the business in a sustainable and profitable way. The focus will be on driving growth based on robust customer insights, relentless focus on results driven by a “can do mentality” and a strong sense of individual accountability.
  • Develops the overall multi-year sales strategy for the region in line with the strategic priorities in premium, growth, and sustainability.
  • Creates and executes a growth plan for the region based on in depth market insights and customer needs for dedicated touchpoints along the multi layered value chain.
  • Ensures reliable sales performance to meet monthly turnover and margin targets, establishing long-term growth.
  • Own and manage commercial activities for key accounts and strategic clients, including development and execution of strategic account plans.
  • Develop and execute strategic key account plans for major customers and partners
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets
  • Build strong senior-level relationships with key accounts and key influencers to enhance potential in the specification segment across the region
  • Develop and strengthen partnerships with distributors, OEM’s and other strategic partners to foster mutual growth and stimulate initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and sales growth.
  • Monitor market trends and competition, translating insights into action

Your profile

  • The right candidate for the position of has a proven track record in international sales leadership positions of a premium brand and/or relevant industries.
  • You are a an entrepreneurial and visionary leader with a proven track record in building and leading successful sales organizations. You combine strategic thinking with execution power.
  • You understand the uniqueness and strengths of each team member and create a climate that allows each individual to excel by stimulating the individuals and the team as a whole to reach higher levels of performance. This involves setting clear targets and levels of expectation and leading by example.
  • Resilience, courage and tenacity are hallmarks of your leadership style. With energy and drive, you place a  strong emphasis on client engagement, deep customer understanding, and a commitment to high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • You are an analytical and data-driven leader in Commercial Excellence. Experienced in utilizing KPIs and performance dashboards.
  • You are results-oriented, with a positive can-do attitude, a transparent and candid communication style, get energized by stretched goals, and an unquestioned level of integrity.
  • You are fluent in English, additional languages (German, French, Dutch or Spanish) are a plus
  • Willingness to travel internationally (>50%)
