About the Company

A high-end automotive customisation business based in Colorado Springs, Colorado is expanding its sales function and is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join its growing team.

The business specialises in Paint Protection Film (PPF), window tint, ceramic coating, paint correction, and related automotive customisation services.

With more than 1,100 five-star reviews, higher-tier services averaging approximately $6,000 per ticket, and 500–700 inbound leads per month, the business has established a strong reputation and is continuing to expand into additional locations.

This is an opportunity to become the first key hire in a new dedicated sales function, with the potential to build and lead a team of SDRs as the business grows.

Requirements

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will initially operate as a hands-on salesperson, managing inbound leads and closing customers across the company's automotive services.

Once individual sales performance has been established, the role will transition into a player-coach leadership position, responsible for training, supporting and managing a team of SDRs.

We are therefore looking for someone who can close today and lead tomorrow.

Phase 1 – Individual Sales

  • Manage a high volume of inbound leads.
  • Qualify prospects and understand their automotive requirements.
  • Quote customers using established tiered pricing.
  • Sell PPF, window tint, ceramic coating and paint correction services.
  • Handle objections confidently and professionally.
  • Follow up consistently with prospective customers.
  • Convert inbound opportunities into booked appointments and sales.
  • Build trust through genuine automotive product knowledge.
  • Provide a warm, consultative customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure no leads are lost.

Phase 2 – Sales Leadership

As the business expands, responsibilities will develop to include:

  • Training and onboarding new SDRs.
  • Coaching team members on inbound sales conversations.
  • Monitoring individual and team performance.
  • Establishing sales best practices and processes.
  • Providing call coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Developing automotive product knowledge across the team.
  • Managing accountability and sales performance.
  • Helping build a scalable internal sales function.

Key Requirements

Mandatory Automotive Experience

Candidates must have hands-on experience within automotive customisation or a closely related automotive environment.

Relevant experience includes:

  • Paint Protection Film (PPF)
  • Window tint
  • Ceramic coating
  • Vehicle wrapping
  • Automotive detailing
  • Paint correction
  • Automotive aftermarket products
  • Performance and vehicle accessories
  • Automotive sales
  • Automotive installation

Automotive installers looking to transition from the tools into sales are encouraged to apply.

General sales candidates without genuine automotive experience will not be considered.

Sales Experience

  • Approximately 5+ years of sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in inbound, phone-based or high-ticket sales.
  • Proven ability to handle objections and close customers.
  • Strong follow-up and lead-management skills.
  • Comfortable working with high lead volumes.
  • Consultative rather than aggressive sales approach.
  • Demonstrable history of achieving sales targets.

Leadership Potential

  • Experience mentoring, training or supporting colleagues.
  • Strong communication and coaching ability.
  • Potential to manage a small SDR team within approximately 6–12 months.
  • Comfortable being accountable for individual and team performance.
  • Able to lead by example while remaining hands-on.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Naturally conversational and personable.
  • Able to build rapport quickly over the phone.
  • Confident communicating with customers independently.
  • Able to explain automotive products and services clearly.
  • Professional, engaging and easy to speak with.

Ideal Personal Attributes

The ideal candidate will:

  • Genuinely love cars and the automotive industry.
  • Be warm, naturally conversational and personable.
  • Have a strong work ethic.
  • Be self-motivated and comfortable working remotely.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
  • Take ownership without requiring constant supervision.
  • Be honest about their knowledge and limitations.
  • Ask questions rather than bluffing.
  • Have a strong commitment to quality.
  • Be continuously focused on improvement.

Core Values

The company places strong emphasis on:

Showing up every day and being 1% better than yesterday.
Impeccable character.
A relentless standard of excellence.

Technology

Experience with the following is beneficial but not required, as training will be provided:

  • GoHighLevel
  • Urable
  • Internal sales/dashboard systems
  • WhatsApp

The key priority is automotive knowledge, sales ability, communication and leadership potential, rather than previous experience with specific software.

Working Hours

Tuesday–Saturday

16:00–01:00 SAST while the U.S. is on daylight time.

From early November:
