We are looking for a full-time risk adjustment coding specialist to join our growing Population Health team. This position is located In Boise Idaho. This is a day shift, benefited position with the ability to work from home once training is complete.

The Risk Adjustment Coding Specialist will be responsible for the creation and/or compilation of educational materials and conducting coding and documentation education with providers, the clinic care team and coding/billing staff The Risk Adjustment Coding Specialist may also conduct medical record audits for risk adjustment and core quality measures and assist with other performance improvement initiatives.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Preformed Medical records Audits to ensure risk adjustments
• Ensured quality measures

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a medical practice setting with involvement in clinic administration, operations, billing, coding, or medical records OR two (2) years of experience in a centralized billing department supporting primary care and/or specialty providers.
• AAPC or AHIMA coding credential required within one (1) year of hire.
• Ability to accurately review and interpret ICD-9/10 coding documentation.
• Experience working with payer data, risk adjustment processes, and quality reporting preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) credential.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• One (1) year of experience performing chart audits in a medical environment.
