About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Resident Network Engineer to provide proactive and reactive technical support for a large-scale enterprise networking environment. This role will serve as a trusted technical advisor to the customer, supporting day-to-day network operations, technology refreshes, network migrations, lifecycle management, and strategic infrastructure initiatives.

The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting enterprise campus networks, large-scale switching and routing environments, wireless technologies, and network transformation projects. This is a highly customer-facing role requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills, communication, documentation, and the ability to work independently.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary technical resource supporting enterprise network operations and infrastructure initiatives. 
• Act as a technical liaison between customer teams, networking support, and engineering resources. 
• Support large-scale campus switching, routing, and wireless infrastructure. 
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and lead technical investigations for business-critical incidents. 
• Support network upgrades, technology refreshes, migrations, and infrastructure expansion projects. 
• Develop implementation plans, testing and validation procedures, rollback plans, and operational runbooks. 
• Plan and support software upgrades, hardware replacements, RMA activities, and network lifecycle management. 
• Analyze network performance and recommend improvements to reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency. 
• Support VLANs, spanning tree, link aggregation, routing, multicast, and high-availability technologies. 
• Support environments utilizing EX Series and QFX Series switching platforms. 
• Support EVPN/VXLAN architectures where applicable. 
• Monitor network health and performance and provide regular technical and executive status updates. 
• Support wireless environments utilizing Mist Wireless Assurance, Mist Wired Assurance, and Marvis AI. 
• Use AI-driven networking insights and analytics to identify and resolve network and user-experience issues. 
• Support large-scale network migration and modernization initiatives, including transitions from legacy environments to cloud-managed platforms. 
• Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventative actions. 
• Coordinate critical technical issues through appropriate networking support and engineering teams. 
• Maintain network documentation, configuration standards, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides. 
• Provide technical mentoring and knowledge transfer to customer personnel. 
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments. 
• Strong experience with enterprise switching and routing technologies. 
• Hands-on experience with EX Series and QFX Series switching platforms. 
• Experience supporting large campus network deployments and production environments. 
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking. 
• Experience with OSPF and BGP. 
• Experience with Mist Wireless Assurance, Mist Wired Assurance, and Marvis AI. 
• Experience supporting large-scale wireless deployments and migrations. 
• Strong troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root cause analysis skills. 
• Experience with network migrations, upgrades, modernization, and infrastructure refresh projects. 
• Experience working with networking support and engineering organizations. 
• Strong customer-facing communication and relationship-management skills. 
• Ability to work independently and serve as a trusted technical advisor. 
• Strong documentation, presentation, and knowledge-transfer skills. 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who can operate comfortably at both the technical and customer-facing levels. You should be able to troubleshoot complex production network issues, communicate clearly with technical and executive stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of projects from planning through implementation and validation.

Experience with enterprise campus networking, Juniper EX/QFX, Mist, Marvis AI, OSPF, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, and large-scale network migrations is particularly valuable.
