What
You’ll Do:
This role
ensures every carrier we work with is legally authorized, insured, and safe
under FMCSA and DOT rules, and stays that way. It protects carriers and
shippers from regulatory, financial, and operational risk.
Vet carriers' operating authority, insurance, and safety standing before onboarding; request and verify current policy documents.
Analyze CSA scores and monitor compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and state rules, including driver qualification, vehicle safety, hours of service, and cargo documentation.
Use compliance software and third-party services to flag carriers that fall out of compliance.
Review violations, prepare corrective action plans, and track resolutions.
Identify internal compliance vulnerabilities and push preventive measures.
Contact carriers and Carrier Representatives to collect missing information and share compliance updates.
Maintain accurate carrier records across multiple systems.
Advisor for staff on compliance requirements and SOPs.
What
We’re Looking For:
Experience/Education
Associate's degree in transportation, logistics, business, or a related field required, or equivalent experience.Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience preferred.Experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
Qualifications
Knowledge of FMCSA, CSA, DOT, and state transportation regulations.
Experience in transportation operations, safety compliance, or regulatory enforcement.
Ability to process large volumes of transactions quickly and accurately.
Experience with safety audits, risk management, or compliance management systems preferred.
Skills/Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Teams, and the ability to research across multiple platforms.
Strong attention to detail, record-keeping, and investigative skills.
Analytical problem-solving and sound decision-making under pressure.
Excellent verbal communication, with the ability to de-escalate and build positive carrier relationships.
Effective time management, organization, and multitasking.
Eagerness to learn new regulations and company guidelines.
Work
Environment: This job operates in a normal professional office
environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers,
phones, photocopiers and fax machines, and filing cabinets.
Physical Requirements: While
performing the duties of this job the employee must have the ability to
communicate or exchange information; also, the employee is required to have
close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer,
expansive reading, or preparing and analyzing data, reports and figures
