Role Overview 

The Reporting Specialist will design, develop, and maintain advanced reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to transform complex data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. 


This role operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST). Comfort and commitment to a 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST schedule are required for success in this position.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI aligned with business requirements. 
  • Develop robust data models and implement ETL processes for accurate and efficient data transformation. 
  • Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (e.g., REST APIs, SQL databases, enterprise platforms). 
  • Ensure seamless integration and data consistency across systems. 
  • Create comprehensive documentation for reporting solutions, including data architecture and usage guidelines. 
  • Provide training and support to end-users for effective adoption of dashboards. 
  • Conduct thorough testing of reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy and reliability. 
  • Implement iterative improvements based on stakeholder feedback. 
  • Work with Enterprise Services and PMO teams to align reporting solutions with organizational goals. 
  • Participate in design reviews and incorporate best practices for data visualization and governance. 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

  • Proven experience in Power BI development, including DAX and Power Query. 
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques. 
  • Familiarity with APIs and connecting Power BI to diverse data sources. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Power BI Certification is mandatory. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with Microsoft tools such as Power Automate and Logic Apps. 
  • Knowledge of REST API integration. 
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as Autotask or similar. 
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
