Role Overview
The Reporting Specialist will design, develop, and maintain advanced reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to transform complex data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
This role operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST). Comfort and commitment to a 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST schedule are required for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI aligned with business requirements.
- Develop robust data models and implement ETL processes for accurate and efficient data transformation.
- Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (e.g., REST APIs, SQL databases, enterprise platforms).
- Ensure seamless integration and data consistency across systems.
- Create comprehensive documentation for reporting solutions, including data architecture and usage guidelines.
- Provide training and support to end-users for effective adoption of dashboards.
- Conduct thorough testing of reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Implement iterative improvements based on stakeholder feedback.
- Work with Enterprise Services and PMO teams to align reporting solutions with organizational goals.
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate best practices for data visualization and governance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in Power BI development, including DAX and Power Query.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
- Familiarity with APIs and connecting Power BI to diverse data sources.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Power BI Certification is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Microsoft tools such as Power Automate and Logic Apps.
- Knowledge of REST API integration.
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as Autotask or similar.
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
