The Regional Business Manager is responsible for driving direct sales of Bionano systems, software, and consumables within a defined territory. They will manage key business relationships, generate new leads, and deliver technical presentations to ensure product capabilities are effectively communicated.
Summary
Bionano is seeking for a Regional Business Manager will play a primary role in generating product sales revenue and managing key business relationships to drive routine use of Bionano systems.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for direct sales of Bionano systems, software, and consumables in the defined territory.
Generate new leads and qualify opportunities that have the potential to become routine users within the territory. Utilize account management and relationship building skills to advance the opportunities that meet the appropriate qualifications. Develop, maintain, and leverage relationships with key opinion leaders.
Develop territory specific sales plan, accurately forecast sales and revenue.
Deliver technical presentations on Bionano products. Work cross functionally to ensure that product capabilities, advantages, and advancements are effectively communicated to potential customers.
Utilize a CRM system according to standard protocols for pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and communication with field and internal personnel.
Represent the company at national/regional conferences.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of scientific applications and technology developments as they relate to customer requirements in target market segments-Cytogenetics, Molecular Pathology, Cell and Gene Therapy.
Ability to travel, work independently, and cooperatively in a cross functional team approach.
Strong public speaking skills with the ability to handle objections and communicate both technical and business arguments.
Highly networked with experience managing accounts in the defined geography
Ability to navigate complex sales processes and accelerate the process.
Competitive nature and proven track record of consistent sales achievement and territory growth.
Fluent in German and English (mandatory), Turkish would give a strong advantage and other EU languages is a plus.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences required. Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
4+ years of sales experience in Life Science capital equipment, consumables, software and services.
Experience in cytogenetics or molecular technologies.
Network in the target markets of Cytogenetics, Molecular Pathology, and Cell and Gene Therapy
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Home office must be within proximity to a major airport.

Work Location: Remote, German Major City
Travel Requirements: up to 40% of travel time expected. Will vary by business needs
