About the Role

Our partner is developing a next-generation AI-powered institutional trading platform focused on equities, futures, forex, and cryptocurrency markets. The platform combines advanced quantitative research with institutional-grade trading infrastructure, including:

• Order Management System (OMS)

• Risk Management System (RMS)

• Algorithmic trading capabilities

• Portfolio management

• AI-driven quantitative research

• Low-latency trading infrastructure

The current engineering team consists of 5 experienced developers, and the partner is now looking to strengthen the team by hiring a Senior Quantitative Developer. As the platform continues to grow, additional quantitative engineering roles will be added.

 What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and develop quantitative models and trading algorithms.

• Build and optimize backtesting and research frameworks.

• Process and analyze large-scale market data across multiple asset classes.

• Develop portfolio optimization and risk management solutions.

• Integrate trading infrastructure with brokerage and execution platforms.

• Collaborate with software engineers, quantitative researchers, and stakeholders to deliver production-ready trading solutions.

• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of quantitative systems.

 What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Python development.

• Proven experience in quantitative finance and algorithmic trading.

• Strong knowledge of Python data and quantitative libraries such as:

  • Pandas

  • NumPy

  • Polars

  • VectorBT

  • Backtrader

  • QuantConnect LEAN

• Experience with:

  • Portfolio optimization

  • Risk management

  • Backtesting frameworks

  • Monte Carlo simulations

  • Walk-forward analysis

• Practical experience processing market data for equities, futures, forex, and cryptocurrency markets.

• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as XGBoost, LightGBM, or PyTorch.

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, Docker, Git, and CI/CD practices.

• Experience integrating trading platforms using FIX Protocol, Interactive Brokers, Alpaca, or LMAX.

• Understanding of institutional trading systems, including OMS, EMS, and low-latency trading environments.
