Relay is a cross-chain payments protocol that provides instant, low-cost cross-chain bridging, swaps, and transactions. We're the fastest and cheapest way to bridge and transact across chains, serving over 5 million users who have completed 59+ million transactions with $6+ billion in volume across 85+ chains.
Our company mission is to make transacting across chains as fast, cheap, and reliable as online payments. We are building the core infrastructure to abstract chains from end user payments, enabling the next billion users to experience the benefits of blockchain without the UX burdens.
As we expand to new chains, onboard more integrators, and migrate toward microservices, we need dedicated QA coverage on each product team, not a shared function stretched thin.
You'll embed with one of our product teams and own their QA end to end: running the release gate from staging, extending the automated test suite, and working closely enough with engineers that you know what's shipping before it ships. You'll also contribute to active QA infrastructure projects, including AI-assisted integrator test suites and incident back-testing.
Own QA for your product team
Run the release gate from staging: review what's merged, execute the test suite, and sign off before anything goes to production
Stay embedded with engineers on your team so you're never catching problems cold at the gate
Define what "good coverage" looks like for your domain and close the gaps yourself
Build and maintain the test suite
Write and maintain automated tests for your team's slice of the codebase
Use AI tooling to accelerate test generation from usage profiles and keep coverage current as the product evolves
Participate in the quarterly refresh process to keep suites aligned with real behavior
Contribute to QA infrastructure projects
Help build integrator-specific test suites with usage data to target the workflows that matter most to our top customers
Analyze reverted or incident-causing PRs, identify where better tests or process could have caught them, and help implement non-blocking CI flags
Bring findings back into the test suite and tooling, not just into reports
Push QA tooling forward
Incorporate AI tools into QA workflows, building on what the team has already started
Work with QA team to improve the AI-powered PR review process and broader automation
You easily write test code and contribute to owning and evolve a codebase
You're comfortable reading PRs, reasoning about code you didn't write, and asking good questions when you need context
You know what a staging gate is and how to operate one
You don't wait to be told what to test; you figure out what matters and go build coverage
You communicate clearly and build trust with your fellow engineers easily
You're curious about AI tooling and already thinking about how it changes what's possible in testing
You're excited about crypto/blockchain and the unique demands of its infrastructure
