The Opportunity


Apollo has clinical hours available for a psychiatrist to primarily support our veteran patients from the Canadian Armed Forces, providing consultations through our virtual platform on medical cannabis treatment.

The candidate can be licensed in any province.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultations for veteran patients, using specialist expertise to review medical cannabis treatment plans prescribed by healthcare practitioners, determine if they are reasonable and necessary, and complete and submit relevant documentation.

  • Provide psychological case management input and recommendations to the interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, psycho-social barriers, and conflict management.

Experience

  • Medical degree and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of your province

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal in English

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage a busy workload

  • Team-oriented approach with existing support team members

  • Highly organized with strong time management skills

  • Informed and abreast of relevant scientific research

  • Previous work with veterans and/or medical cannabis is an asset

  • Bilingualism is an asset

Other Details

This is a part-time position based remotely in Canada.
