Gainwell Technologies is seeking an experienced Provider Outreach & Education Supervisor to lead provider outreach and education activities supporting California’s Medi-Cal program.

In this role, you will supervise a team responsible for engaging, educating, and supporting healthcare providers throughout California. You will help ensure providers have the information, training, resources, and operational support needed to successfully participate in the Medi-Cal program.

You will lead Provider Field Representatives, coordinate outreach and education activities, monitor team performance and deliverables, support complex provider issues, and partner with clients and internal teams to identify provider needs and improve the overall provider experience.

Your role in our mission

  • Supervise Provider Field Representatives responsible for conducting provider outreach, education, training, and relationship-management activities throughout California.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor provider outreach activities, field visits, training sessions, presentations, and other team deliverables to ensure contractual and operational requirements are achieved.
  • Identify provider education and training needs and help develop outreach strategies, educational materials, presentations, and other resources designed to improve provider understanding and engagement.
  • Serve as an escalation resource for complex provider questions and operational issues while partnering with internal teams and client stakeholders to research and resolve concerns.
  • Monitor provider outreach activities, team performance, field coverage, training effectiveness, and other operational measures and provide regular updates and reporting to leadership.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop employees while managing performance, supporting professional development, and ensuring consistent execution of outreach and education expectations.
  • Evaluate provider feedback, operational trends, and existing processes to identify opportunities to improve provider education, engagement, service delivery, and the overall provider experience.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Six or more years of experience in provider relations, provider outreach, provider education, healthcare operations, training, healthcare consulting, Medicaid/Medi-Cal, or a related healthcare function.
  • Three or more years of leadership or supervisory experience, including responsibility for coaching, developing, and managing employee performance.
  • Experience working directly with healthcare providers, provider offices, medical groups, healthcare organizations, or other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, training, relationship-management, and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage healthcare providers, clients, employees, and internal business partners.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with experience identifying provider needs, resolving operational issues, and improving business processes.
  • Experience using business applications, reporting tools, customer relationship management systems, provider systems, or other technology used to track outreach activities and resolve provider issues.

What you should expect in this role

  • This is a remote position for candidates who reside in California supporting Provider Outreach and Education activities for California’s Medi-Cal program.
  • You will lead Provider Field Representatives responsible for engaging, educating, and supporting healthcare providers throughout assigned California territories.
  • Travel may be required to support provider visits, outreach activities, training sessions, meetings, and other business needs.
  • You will regularly interact with healthcare providers, client representatives, leadership, employees, and cross-functional business partners.
  • This role requires strong presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to effectively represent Gainwell during provider meetings, training sessions, and outreach activities.
  • You will manage multiple priorities, territories, outreach activities, and operational requirements in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
