The Proposal Writer Specialist is responsible for developing, writing, and editing high-quality proposals while ensuring full compliance with solicitation requirements. They will also coordinate with internal stakeholders, manage submission deadlines, and assist with procurement research and opportunity identification.
Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Proposal Writer Specialist to support our team on an as-needed, contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels at crafting compelling proposals and navigating procurement processes. This is not a full-time position—we are looking to build a relationship with a trusted resource we can engage for ongoing and future opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, write, and edit high-quality proposals (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs)
Review solicitation requirements and ensure full compliance in submissions
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary content and documentation
Manage timelines and submission deadlines for proposals
Assist with procurement research, bid sourcing, and opportunity identification
Maintain organized records of submissions and supporting materials
Provide recommendations to improve proposal strategy and win rates
Qualifications
Proven experience in proposal writing and/or procurement support
Strong understanding of RFP/RFQ processes and compliance requirements
Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
Experience working with government, real estate, or property management proposals is a plus
High attention to detail and professionalism in all deliverables
