THE ROLE

A Senior, Content Creation is a hands-on creative responsible for developing and producing engaging, social-first content from start to finish. This role combines creative concepting, art direction, production, and technical execution to bring ideas to life across social platforms. A successful Content Creator is equal parts creative thinker and maker—someone who can generate an idea, collaborate with others to develop it, and then pick up a camera or phone to shoot, direct, edit, and deliver the final content.

The Senior, Content Creation role has a strong focus on short-form, vertical video and requires a deep understanding of social culture, platform behaviors, emerging formats, and trends. Senior, Content Creators develop original concepts based on cultural and audience insights and translate them into content that feels native to platforms like TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts among others.

This is a highly collaborative role, working alongside copywriters, art directors, designers, motion, talent, and production partners. Senior, Content Creators are also expected to bring a strong visual point of view to their work, providing direction across styling, framing, lighting, and locations.

Most importantly, this is a maker role. Senior, Content Creators should be comfortable behind the camera, in the edit, directing talent, AND—when the concept calls for it—in front of the camera. This may include featuring their own hands, voice, personality, or face to create authentic, attention-grabbing content.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Concepting & Creative Development: Develop original, social-first concepts rooted in brand objectives, audience behaviors, cultural moments, platform trends, and emerging formats. Participate in brainstorms, develop ideas, and translate concepts into executable content.
• Content Creation: Bring ideas to life through hands-on content creation, including scripting, storyboarding, shooting, interviewing, and editing. Own concepts from initial idea through final execution, with the ability to create independently or collaborate with other creative disciplines when needed.
• Art Direction: Establish and execute the visual direction for content, including framing, lighting, styling, composition, props, sets, locations, and overall aesthetic. Provide creative guidance and feedback to collaborators to ensure the final work feels cohesive, intentional, and on-brand.
• Shooting & Production: Operate cameras, phones, lighting, audio equipment, and other production tools to capture high-quality social content. Be comfortable working across everything from quick-turn, lo-fi social shoots to onsite events.
• Editing & Post-Production: Edit short-form video content from rough cut through final delivery, including pacing, sound design, music, graphics, captions, transitions, and other platform-native editing techniques.
• Talent Direction: Direct creators, talent, or on-street personalities when needed and interview subjects at onsite events. 
• On-Screen Participation: Be willing and comfortable serving as on-screen talent when a concept calls for it, including appearing on camera or contributing your hands, voice, or personality to the content.
• Trend & Platform Fluency: Stay deeply connected to social culture, emerging trends, creator behaviors, platform features, editing styles, and new content formats. Identify opportunities to participate in trends while finding an original, brand-relevant point of view.
• Quality Control: Review and refine content before publication to ensure it meets creative and quality standards and aligns with the brand’s voice, visual identity, and messaging.
• Audience & Performance Insights: Apply audience insights, performance learnings, and feedback from peers and partners to evolve creative approaches and optimize future content.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with client partners, delivery, production, and other cross-functional teammates to ensure content supports broader creative and business objectives.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilize cameras, phones, microphones, lighting equipment, editing software, design tools, and evolving platform-native creation tools. Stay current on new technologies and workflows that can make content more creative, efficient, and effective.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• 3+ years of experience in content creation, social creative, video production, or a related creative discipline
• Strong portfolio demonstrating concepting and hands-on creation of social-first content
• Experience developing, shooting, and editing short-form video for TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere or comparable video editing software
• Strong camera operation, lighting, audio, and sound design skills
• Experience directing creators, talent, and/or on-street personalities
• Comfort and willingness to appear on camera or contribute voice/hands as talent when creatively appropriate
• Strong understanding of social trends, platform behaviors, creator culture, and emerging content formats
• Ability to take an idea from concept through final execution, both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to work quickly, experiment, iterate, and respond to feedback in a fast-moving social environment 

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $80 hourly. Rate is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we're flexible.
