Project Manager / Transition Lead (German speaking)

POSITION: Transition Project Manager (German speaking)

LOCATION: Remote in Hungary

In this role you will lead the transition of a new enterprise client into NSC Global's managed service, across several sites and regions. You will own the programme end to end: planning, governance, readiness for go live and the handover into in life service. Once the transition is complete, you will stay on the account in an ongoing service delivery role. This position suits an experienced transition manager who is comfortable in a matrix organisation, enjoys international work and wants to stay close to the client after go live.

Responsibilities

• Transition Planning & Governance: Build and run the transition plan with clear milestones, dependencies and gated reviews, and report readiness at each stage.
• Scope & Change Control: Hold the agreed scope, manage change requests and steer internal and external delivery teams to the plan.
• Go Live Readiness: Coordinate site readiness, cutover activities and hypercare with local and regional teams.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the key contact for the client, partners and vendors, communicate at every level up to C level, and escalate risks early.
• Impact Assessment & Knowledge Transfer: Assess the impact of the transition on every team involved, then organise training and handover for the teams taking over day to day support.
• Process & KPIs: Work with internal teams on ServiceNow and ITIL aligned support processes, and set the KPIs used to measure programme health.
• Service Delivery: After go live, act as the main delivery contact for the client, running service reviews and tracking performance against SLAs.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years in project management, including IT service transitions or field services programmes across several countries.
• Languages: Fluent German (C1 or above) and English, written and spoken.
• Methods: Solid grasp of the full delivery lifecycle, waterfall and agile, ideally with a certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.
• Partners: Experience working alongside a global systems integrator, on the client or supplier side.
• Leadership: Confident with senior stakeholders and used to leading distributed teams across regions in a matrix environment.
• Tools & Frameworks: Working knowledge of ServiceNow and ITIL.
