Job Description

3Sharp is seeking an experienced, customer-facing Project Manager for an anticipated six-month independent contractor engagement.

This role is intended for someone with a strong foundation in project management who can independently manage client-facing technology projects. We are looking for a candidate who views project management as their professional career path and wants to continue building deeper expertise in the field over the next three to five years.

The Project Manager will manage projects from initiation through delivery while maintaining strong customer relationships and appropriate control over scope, schedule, financial performance, risks, issues, dependencies, and project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage multiple client-facing technology projects from initiation through successful delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams and resource needs to support project objectives.
• Work directly with customers to gather, refine, document, and validate requirements.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage project scope and proactively address changes that could affect schedule, budget, or delivery.
• Track project financials and work with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve issues or blockers.
• Identify project risks and dependencies. Develop appropriate mitigation plans.
• Maintain clear and consistent project status reporting for internal and customer stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships within customer organizations and effectively manage competing priorities or conflict.
• Develop a thorough understanding of customer business goals and ensure project delivery supports those objectives.
• Identify opportunities for additional customer engagements when appropriate.
• Partner with internal teams on project scoping, proposals, pricing, staffing, and customer discussions related to potential new work.
• Drive assigned engagements toward successful, timely, and financially responsible completion.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will bring a strong customer focus along with the project management, technical, and analytical skills necessary to manage client-facing technology engagements.

• Minimum of three years of direct project management experience.
• Project management experience within an IT agency, technology consulting firm, professional services organization, digital agency, or similar client-services environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Experience managing project schedules, scope, budgets, requirements, risks, issues, dependencies, and changes.
• Strong requirements-gathering and validation skills.
• Strong understanding of project metrics, reporting, and project health indicators.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong customer-facing experience with demonstrated relationship-management skills.
• Experience navigating conflict, competing priorities, and changing customer needs.
• Ability to operate effectively in an environment where requirements or priorities may evolve.
• Ability to proactively identify ambiguity and reduce project risk.
• Strong consultative approach to customer and internal stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to understand customer business goals and translate those goals into project priorities and successful outcomes.
• Experience supporting sales teams through project scoping, proposal development, pricing, or customer engagement is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to project management as a professional discipline.
• Genuine interest in continuing to develop project management expertise and build a long-term career in the field.
• Experience working with technical teams and technology-based deliverables is strongly preferred.

Additional Information

Contract Term: This is an anticipated six-month independent contractor engagement. Any extension of the contract or potential conversion to a full-time employee role would depend on business needs and mutual agreement.

Compensation: The anticipated contract rate is $50 per hour, 40 hours per week, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications.

Benefits: This is an independent contractor engagement. The contractor is not eligible for 3Sharp employee benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, or participation in the company's 401(k) plan.

Remote Engagement and Availability: 3Sharp is based in Bothell, Washington and operates primarily as a remote organization. The contractor must be available for scheduled customer meetings, project meetings, and other required collaboration during Pacific Time business hours. Outside of scheduled meetings and agreed project commitments, the contractor is expected to independently manage their work in accordance with project requirements, deadlines, and deliverables.

Relocation: Relocation assistance is not available for this engagement.
