Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading large, cross-functional, and high-impact projects from concept through completion. This role owns project strategy and execution, proactively manages risk, and serves as a trusted partner to stakeholders and leadership. The Senior Project Manager also helps improve project management standards and practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of complex, multi-phase projects and programs
- Define project scope, goals, timelines, budgets, and success metrics in partnership with senior stakeholders
- Manage cross-functional teams and ensure alignment across departments
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, dependencies, and constraints
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to executive and senior leadership
- Manage changes to scope, timeline, and resources while minimizing impact to delivery
- Mentor and support other project managers and contribute to best practices
- Improve and standardize project management processes, tools, and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement based on project retrospectives and outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing projects in a professional environment
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, Scrum Master, SAFe)
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and resource planning
- Experience influencing without direct authority
- Experience improving or scaling project management processes
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, Monday.com)
