POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Manager – EPMO is responsible for planning, executing, and closing individual IT projects that support key business stakeholders such as revenue cycle, clinical operations, finance, HR, and other functional areas. This role applies standard project management methodologies and tools to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

 

The Project Manager – EPMO works closely with business stakeholders, IT solution teams, and vendors to define requirements, develop project plans, manage risks and issues, track progress, and ensure quality deliverables. The role focuses on day-to-day project execution and coordination, escalating risks and decisions as appropriate to program or portfolio leadership.

 

The base pay estimate for this role is $89,000-$151,300 annually. The final offer will depend on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate. This range is for base pay only and does not include bonuses or other compensation. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. Bonuses are not guaranteed and are awarded based on company and individual performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation):

 

  • Partners with business stakeholders and IT solution managers to capture and document project requirements and define project scope.
  • Creates and maintains detailed project plans, schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates.
  • Facilitates project kickoff meetings, status meetings, and working sessions.
  • Tracks project progress against scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
  • Identifies, documents, and manages project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating when needed.
  • Coordinates project tasks and activities across technical teams, business users, and vendors.
  • Supports business case development and project intake documentation as required.
  • Ensures adherence to established EPMO standards, processes, and reporting requirements.
  • Produces and maintains accurate project documentation, including:
    • Requirements documentation.
    • Scope and change control artifacts.
    • Project schedules and status reports.
    • Issue and risk logs.
    • Test plans and test results.
    • Project budgets and forecasts.
  • Manages change requests and supports formal change control processes.
  • Coordinates quality assurance activities and ensures testing plans are executed.
  • Supports vendor coordination by tracking assigned deliverables and timelines.
  • Communicates project status, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Performs post-project closeout activities, including lessons learned and documentation archiving.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):

  • Bachelor’s degree required; information systems, business, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in project coordination or project management.
  • Experience supporting IT and business application projects preferred.
  • Experience managing projects within the Smartsheet work management platform strongly preferred.
  • PMP or CAPM certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with healthcare IT strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems, applications, and solution delivery lifecycles.
  • Ability to identify risks, analyze issues, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with attention to quality and delivery outcomes.
