WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT

• Own and lead residential and mixed-use projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Mentor Junior Project Managers and help shape the next generation of Buildforth’s project leaders.
• Work closely with the Director of Projects, design, engineering, and fabrication teams to deliver Future-Ready Homes.
• Travel throughout British Columbia and Alberta and build relationships with clients, trades, and project teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead all phases of project delivery, from pre-construction through final completion.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and subcontracts.
• Oversee procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor milestones, critical paths, and deliverables to keep projects on track.
• Direct site teams, subcontractors, and consultants, and maintain a regular presence on active job sites.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and fabrication teams, and coordinate between fabrication and site teams for seamless project execution.
• Mentor Junior Project Managers and project team members, and promote a strong team culture.
• Monitor project budgets, forecast costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Review and approve invoices, change orders, and progress claims.
• Support value engineering initiatives and strategic purchasing decisions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams, and lead project meetings to keep all stakeholders aligned.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
• Identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues with professionalism, accountability, and agility.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
• Proven ability to manage complex contracts and permitting processes.
• Experience leading projects in remote or out-of-town locations.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to coordinate across clients, trades, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative mindset, with a genuine interest in mentoring and developing junior team members.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable transportation, and openness to regular travel and visiting project sites and offices as required across British Columbia and Alberta, including out-of-town work.
