Project Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation and transformation of information technology solutions within a healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex clinical technology initiatives, coordinating large multi-stream project teams, and working closely with senior clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure the safe and effective implementation of healthcare information systems. The role requires strong experience with Altera Sunrise implementations or upgrades in acute-care environments, HL7-based healthcare system integration and testing, and large-scale healthcare information system implementations at a provincial or state-wide level. The Project Manager will also be responsible for developing and coordinating operational and clinical requirements, supporting standardization of clinical services, monitoring project progress, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring healthcare staff are adequately prepared for system changes. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of healthcare IT project management experience, including significant experience leading large clinical technology implementations, along with valid PMP or PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner and PROSCI (ADKAR) Organizational Change Management certifications. This is a full-time remote contract position, with the resource required to work from within Canada.

Requirements

• Valid PMP or PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner certification

• 10+ years of Project Management experience implementing IT projects in healthcare environments
  
• Experience reporting project progress to senior clinical management
  
• Experience ensuring safe implementation of software solutions in clinical environments
  
• 5+ years implementing or upgrading the Altera Sunrise suite in an acute-care environment
  
• Experience coordinating Altera Sunrise implementations with clinical resources and management
  
• Experience preparing healthcare staff for new system implementations
  
• 5+ years directly testing or coordinating testing of healthcare information-system integrations using HL7
  
• 5+ years leading implementation of healthcare information systems at a provincial or state-wide level
  
• Experience developing operational and clinical requirements and standardizing clinical services
  
• 5+ years implementing large healthcare solutions in clinical settings
  
• Experience managing high-level clinical stakeholders
  
• Experience managing large, multi-stream project teams
