Ciklum is looking for a Programme Test Manager to join our team full-time in Bulgaria.

About the role:

As a Programme Test Manager, you will play a key leadership role within a large-scale platform transformation programme in the energy sector. You will be responsible for defining and governing the overall testing strategy across multiple delivery streams, ensuring that complex integrations and platform capabilities meet business, quality, and regulatory expectations.

This role focuses on programme-level quality leadership, governance, and stakeholder management. You will work closely with engineering teams, product stakeholders, and client representatives to ensure high standards of quality across all programme milestones.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Define and own the end-to-end test strategy for the programme, covering multiple test levels including SIT, UAT and OAT
  • Establish testing governance, quality metrics, and reporting across multiple delivery streams
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client QA stakeholders and programme leadership
  • Leads Chair the Defect Triage ProcessesDefect Review Board (DRB) and oversee defect governance processes
  • Provide data-driven insights and release readiness assessments to support Go/No-Go decisions and programme milestones

Technical Oversight & Integration

  • Provide technical oversight for complex system integrations, ensuring effective coordination between internal and external platforms
  • Oversee test environment management and test data strategy, including synthetic data generation aligned with GDPR requirements
  • Ensure testing approaches align with the system architecture and integration design

Team Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate hybrid QA teams consisting of internal engineers, contractors, and offshore delivery partners
  • Plan and manage testing capacity and resources across programme phases
  • Mentor QA leads and promote a quality-first engineering culture across delivery teams

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering
  • Proven experience as a Test Manager or Programme Test Manager in large-scale, multi-team delivery environments
  • Strong experience defining and implementing test strategies for complex enterprise platforms
  • Experience managing large scale projects in multiple test levels
  • Experience leading distributed and hybrid QA teams
  • Strong understanding of modern QA practices and automation-first testing strategies
  • Experience managing test environments and test data strategies
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and risk management skills
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • GDPR knowledge (relation to data strategies)
  • Upper-Intermediate English or higher
