AI Summary

You will lead the end-to-end strategy for data migration from legacy platforms to the new system while collaborating with engineering and design teams. You will also act as the voice of the customer to prioritize product requirements and ensure a seamless transition experience.

Who We Are Looking For

As the Product Owner — Data Migration for WebPT, you will play a critical role in how our customers experience onboarding and transition to our future platform. We are looking for a dedicated professional who brings deep knowledge of our product, our customers, and our internal processes. You know that a seamless migration is not an afterthought but a core product experience, and you are energized by the challenge of moving thousands of customers from a legacy platform to a new one without disrupting their day-to-day operations. You will collaborate closely with product managers and engineering to refine and execute the end-to-end strategy for data migration, shaping how our customers make that transition with confidence. Your existing expertise in our clinical domain and workflows is your greatest asset.

What You’ll Be Doing as A Part of Our Team

  • Migration Execution & Collaboration: Collaborate with the product manager on the product roadmap and approach for data migration from legacy platforms. You will help execute the cohort-based migration model, ensuring data continuity requirements across operational, transactional, and financial states are met for a safe, successful day-one cutover.
  • Workflow & Migration SME: Become a go-to expert on the migration scenarios that matter most to our customers. You will leverage your existing knowledge of our product to translate real-world operational workflows—the things that break, stall, or confuse users during transitions—into clear, prioritized product requirements.
  • Strategic Partnership: Act as the “voice of the customer” in close collaboration with Engineering, Design, and external delivery partners. While you advocate for customer and support needs, you will partner with technical leads to ensure the architecture supports a reliable migration experience.
  • Customer Discovery & Feedback: Communicate with customers to gain feedback on migration features and identify problems to solve. Through observations and interviews, maintain a pulse on our customers to understand their motivations, pain points, and objectives, ensuring that improvements are evaluated and prioritized.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Ensure the migration backlog is relentlessly focused on customer retention and growth. You will work with customer success and support to surface transition risks early and close the loop between support insights and product priorities.
  • Requirement Refinement & User Stories: Write and visualize requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria specifically for our migration tools, maximizing our engineering time and efforts. Manage product backlogs while interfacing closely with design, engineering, and QA.

What You Should Have to Qualify

  • Product & System Knowledge: 3-6 , hands-on expertise with WebPT applications and internal workflows. You understand the nuances of how our customers use our platform daily.
  • Operational & Customer Empathy: A track record of solving real operational pain for customers, likely developed through a role in implementation or support. You provide quality customer service and are ready to lend a sympathetic ear and offer reassurance when customers navigate stressful transitions.
  • Execution & Organization: Be organized, energetic, communicative, and accountable. You are able to juggle complex projects, all with strict deadlines, simultaneously, and can navigate stressful situations with scheduling limitations and conflicts.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams without formal authority. You can communicate the software development cycle confidently, accurately, and honestly to internal stakeholders and external users.
  • Desire to Grow: A strong interest in transitioning into a formal product role, with a willingness to learn requirement refinement, user story writing, and backlog management.
