Procurement Data Migration Consultant

This is a remote position.

NextLink is looking for an experienced Procurement Data Migration Consultant to support our client's a major ERP transformation, helping to migrate procurement and master data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) to SAP S/4HANA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, extracting, validating, cleansing, interpreting and translating procurement-related data, ensuring that data is accurate, complete and ready for migration.

You will work closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand legacy D365 data, purchasing processes and dependencies, and translate these into the requirements of the new SAP environment.

 Key Responsibilities

• Identify, extract and collect procurement-related data from D365.
  
• Cleanse, validate, interpret and translate data to support migration into SAP.
  
• Analyse procurement and master data objects and assess their migration readiness.
  
• Validate supplier, material and purchasing relationships and dependencies.
  
• Identify differences between legacy D365 processes and the target SAP processes.
  
• Assess data quality, defects and potential migration impacts.
  
• Provide business context and clarification around legacy D365 data and fields.
  
• Support business stakeholders and SMEs with data-related queries throughout the migration.
  
• Prepare and maintain structured Excel-based data migration templates and documentation.
  
• Support the wider data migration team through migration preparation and readiness activities.
  
• Ensure procurement data is complete, accurate and appropriately mapped for the SAP environment.
  

Requirements

• Strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365, particularly around Product Lifecycle and/or Operations modules.
  
• Good understanding of D365 Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes.
  
• Strong experience with ERP data migration and data conversion.
  
• Experience working with procurement and purchasing master data.
  
• Strong understanding of Master Data Governance and Data Stewardship.
  
• Proven experience in data cleansing, validation and data quality management.
  
• Strong understanding of how master data attributes impact business and operational processes.
  
• Experience with business analysis and process design.
  
• Ability to understand complex legacy data and translate it into a target ERP environment.
  
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with structured data templates.
  
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders and SMEs. 
  

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience with SAP S/4HANA master data.
  
• Experience supporting D365-to-SAP migrations.
  
• Knowledge of SAP procurement processes and master data.
  
• Experience working on large-scale ERP transformation programmes.
  
• Experience within complex or regulated enterprise environments.
