Leidos is seeking Procurement Coordinators to join our Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) team in support of the United States Antarctic Program. About the Antarctic Support Contract

Leidos Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) is the prime contractor to the National Science Foundation (NSF) in support of the United States Antarctic Program (USAP). Leidos supports the NSF’s Office of Polar Program’s Antarctic Infrastructure and Logistics and provides science and logistics support for approximately 150 science and technical events across three geographically remote research stations; McMurdo Station, Palmer Station, and South Pole Station and several deep field sites across Antarctica. Each station or field site supports world class research across multiple science disciplines.

The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for partnering with cross-functional departments to place purchase requisitions in accordance with approved spend plans.  The candidate will ensure accurate coding, documentation, approvals, and timely processing of program requisitions.  The candidate will coordinate with internal stakeholders and procurement department to resolve issues and ensure purchases align with program policies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Place and track functional area procurements, including the movement of materials among requestors, approvers, buyers, vendors, freight forwarders, receiving hubs, and final receiving sites.

  • Confirm that materials are delivered by vendors, properly received by freight forwarders and receiving locations, and accurately documented.

  • Maintain daily communication and actively liaise with functional departments across multiple locations to understand operational needs, challenges, and goals.

  • Meet established deadlines while consistently producing accurate, complete, and high-quality deliverables.

  • Assist with data validation and integrity checks within the Maximo database. Analyze new material requisitions for accuracy and completeness prior to processing new item master record creation.

Required/Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration from an accredited university with at least six (6+) years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics; or equivalent military or civilian training in logistics with at least eight (8+) years of experience. 

  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance. Contract requirement.

  • Experience with IBM Maximo / inventory / materials management software experience is critical. 

  • Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize, and execute against multiple priorities. 

  • Advanced knowledge of databases and spreadsheets; excellent data entry skills. 

  • Strong organizational skills. 

  • Strong analytical and methodical skills. 

  • In-depth familiarity with logistics documentation, including best practices for processing and maintaining logistics documents. Advanced-level experience and skills operating MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Foundational and theoretical understanding of general Supply Chain and Logistics principles. 

  • Experience working with stock records, such as inventory, material control, accounting, and supply metrics. 

  • Understanding of basic supply functions, including shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, stock control, hazardous materials (HAZMAT), and procurement procedures. 

  • Remote / long-distance supply chain experience a plus.

Pay Range $52,000.00 - $94,000.00
