The Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing detailed cost proposals, financial models, and narratives while ensuring full compliance with federal regulations. They also serve as a subject matter expert during internal reviews and support DCAA or DCMA audits.

Position Overview
The Pricing Analyst, Mid plays a critical role within the Pricing team. This individual is expected to support pricing activities such as developing cost models, BOE templates, and narrative templates. They are also responsible for ensuring that all cost/price volumes, financial models, and supporting narratives are 100% compliant with solicitation requirements (Section L and M), internal corporate policies, and all applicable statutory regulations. The Analyst will audit complex Excel models, verify Basis of Estimate (BOE) rationales, and ensure strict adherence to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed cost proposals, both pricing models and narratives, for various proposals, considering labor, material, overhead, and other direct and indirect costs.
- Conduct thorough reviews of complex pricing models (i.e. integrity of formulas, traceability of values, rate compliance).
- Review Cost/Price narratives and Bases of Estimates (BOEs) to ensure they provide logical, data-driven, and auditable rationale for proposed costs.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and enforcement of corporate policies.
- Assist Pricing management with training, cost proposal review, and policy compliance initiatives
- Serve as the subject matter expert during internal reviews, providing actionable corrective feedback.
- Assist in preparing documentation and defending pricing methodologies during Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) or Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) audits.
Required Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required – Business, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in government contract pricing, cost estimating, or defense auditing.
- Deep, demonstrable understanding of FAR Part 15 (Contracting by Negotiation) and FAR Part 31 (Contract Cost Principles and Procedures), as well as CAS and TINA requirements.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and model auditing) and Microsoft Word. Familiarity with pricing software (e.g. ProPricer) is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify anomalies in massive data sets under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulatory or financial concepts to non-financial proposal team members.
