Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal ProPricer Analyst to support U.S. Government and Department of Defense proposal efforts while establishing and maturing Trident’s internal pricing capability. This individual will be responsible for developing the processes, tools, templates, methodologies, and estimating frameworks needed to support both current and future proposal activities.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience developing pricing models, Basis of Estimate (BOE) packages, and cost estimates for complex defense programs involving hardware development, manufacturing, engineering services, and production. The individual will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, Finance, and Business Development to develop accurate, defensible, and compliant proposal pricing.

This role combines hands-on proposal pricing with pricing capability development. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable building detailed labor and material estimates, developing BOM-driven cost models, translating technical requirements into cost assumptions, supporting executive pricing reviews, and establishing repeatable processes and tools that strengthen Trident’s long-term proposal and pricing capabilities. This role prefers candidates in the Northern Virginia area.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement ProPricer processes, workflows, templates, and pricing best practices across the organization.

  • Build and maintain compliant pricing models for Department of Defense and Federal Government proposals.
  • Develop, review, and validate Basis of Estimate (BOE) documentation.
  • Create labor, material, subcontractor, travel, and Other Direct Cost (ODC) estimates in support of proposal efforts.
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) and manufacturing cost models supporting hardware and product-based programs.
  • Support development of proposal cost volumes and pricing narratives.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, Finance, and Business Development teams to develop accurate and defensible cost estimates.
  • Develop estimating relationships, historical databases, pricing tools, and reusable estimating artifacts.
  • Analyze RFPs, Statements of Work (SOWs), technical requirements, and contract structures to determine pricing approaches.
  • Support pricing reviews, executive reviews, and proposal strategy discussions.
  • Train and mentor internal personnel to establish long-term pricing capability.
  • Develop repeatable processes and documentation to support future proposal efforts.
  • Ability to support travel or off-site work, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Experience supporting hardware development, manufacturing, production, or product-based programs.
  • Experience developing and analyzing Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Working knowledge of labor estimating, material estimating, subcontractor pricing, travel, ODCs, and indirect cost structures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting space, aerospace, defense electronics, communications systems, satellite systems, or military hardware programs.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) environments.
