This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.  

 

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Principle Architect, Precision Tech Systems for ISG located in Urbandale, IA you will be:

 

  • Lead and manage architectural direction for technology stacks spanning software, systems, and integration layers.
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple delivery teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business outcomes.
  • Challenge existing norms and organizational inertia with new concepts and ways of thinking.
  • Drive architectural decisions that balance innovation, scalability, reliability, security, and delivery execution.
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, systems, and platform teams to translate strategy into executable architecture.
  • Mentor and develop architects and senior technical contributors.
  • Review designs, guide trade‑off decisions, and ensure architectural consistency across initiatives.
  • Support modernization efforts, including service‑oriented and distributed architectures.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 15 or years of experience in: Software delivery and development and Technical leadership and team leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience (multiple examples) building teams and leading complex, cross‑team technology initiatives from concept through delivery.
  • Strong background in modern software architecture, service-oriented interfaces and development practices.
  • Multiple examples of personally using AI tools to build out a product.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly collaborative, multi‑disciplinary environment.
  • Familiarity with on‑board communication networks, including: CAN and Automotive Ethernet.

What Makes You Standout

 

  • Experience with development and delivery of products in agriculture or other off-highway related fields.
  • Experience managing delivery solutions for multiple platform adoptions.
  • Systems engineering experience across both: On‑board (embedded) systems and Off‑board (enterprise / cloud) systems.
  • Experience with Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) concepts and designs.
  • Experience with FuSA and Security design considerations.

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
