The developer will design intuitive dashboards, build semantic models, and optimize Power BI reports to drive business decisions. They will collaborate with Data Engineers and business stakeholders to implement AI-enabled reporting and improve self-service analytics.
This is a remote position.
McBride Consulting is seeking a PowerBI Developer for a banking client in Northern VA. Ideally, the candidate has a strong understanding and experience supporting data analysis, designing intuitive dashboards, and building semantic models. The Developer will support the front end of the Microsoft BI stack, partnering closely with a Data Engineer to transform curated data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions.
• Experience in data/BI development, financial services or banking client preferred
• Power BI report and dashboard development mandatory, including publishing and workspace management
• Data modeling (fact/dimension / star schema) for reporting performance
• DAX for KPIs, measures, and analytical logic
• Strong SQL and data integration across multiple sources (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
• ETL / data transformation to cleanse and standardize data
• Data visualization for both operational and executive audiences
• Payments / ACH domain exposure preferred
• Agile, Scrum
