The Role: Mid-Level (Pleno) Technical Consultant - ServiceNow ITOM/Discovery

In your daily routine, you will:

• Implement and support the deployment of ServiceNow ITOM solutions, focusing on Horizontal Discovery and CMDB accuracy.

• Participate in the configuration of Event Management, Cloud Observability, and automated remediation workflows.

• Actively participate in technical discussions with clients and stakeholders, advocating for CMDB health and infrastructure visibility.

• Support Junior Developers and share knowledge on ITOM best practices.

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot MID Servers across complex network environments.

• Modify and develop custom Discovery Patterns, Probes, and Sensors to discover non-standard infrastructure.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to resolve credential, firewall, and access issues during Discovery rollouts.

• Apply the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework and CMDB best practices in everyday tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Languages: Advanced English (mandatory for global communications and daily project alignments).

• ITOM & Discovery Core:

  • Solid understanding of ServiceNow CMDB classes, the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE), and CSDM.

  • Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining ServiceNow Discovery.

  • Basic knowledge or initial experience with Service Mapping is highly desirable.

• Infrastructure & Networking:

  • Good knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Windows).

  • Understanding of network protocols and ports (SNMP, SSH, WMI, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization.

• Platform Fundamentals & Scripting:

  • Proficient in using Update Sets, Application Scopes, and Business Rules.

  • Solid scripting skills: JavaScript, Regular Expressions (Regex), PowerShell, and Unix shell scripting (needed for pattern modifications and MID Server logic).

• Integrations and Debugging:

  • Experience consuming REST/SOAP APIs.

  • Experience using IntegrationHub and/or Service Graph Connectors for third-party integrations.

  • Ability to analyze Discovery, transaction, and MID Server logs to troubleshoot routine discovery failures.

Nice to Have / Desirable:

• ServiceNow Certifications: CIS - ITOM Discovery, or micro-certifications related to ITOM/CMDB.
